Month 1: Why did you decide to go for tourism/marketing?
Please introduce yourself! 🙂 Where are you from? What are you doing? Tell us a bit about your history and why exactly you chose the profession you’re aiming for right now. We’d love to know if you had other things in mind or if your profession was a childhood-dream.
Month 2: Are you getting any practical experiences? If so, where and how?
Acquiring some practical knowledge is important for any future job. Are you doing anything to get your practical skills up and running? If so, what exactly are you doing? In case you’re in vocational training: How does your work experience look like? What’s your day to day business?
Month 3: Was university or an apprenticeship the only option for you?
Did you have multiple options for your education? Does your country offer vocational training? Is university the only viable choice? Please tell us more about your choices and the situation in your country? What other ways are there to get a career in tourism?
Month 5: Let’s talk finances: How do you stay above the water?
Life as a trainee is tough and living became quite expensive. How do you stay afloat? Are you getting paid for your work? Do you live alone or with your parents? Tells us a bit about the financial side of being a student or trainee in your country! No worries, we’re not expecting numbers at all 🙂
Month 6: In hindsight, do you still think that your profession was the right choice for you?
Now that you’ve gotten some experience, seen day to day work for a while or had some classes. Do you still think that going for tourism was the right thing to do? Would you do anything differently, if you had the chance to start over? What advice can you give others just starting out with their education? Let us know what you think about your choices! 🙂
Month 7: How do or did you prepare for the time after your education?
his month we’d like to know what steps you’ve taken for your life after university or your training. Do you already have a job in sight? Are you networking? Or do you think planning too much ahead isn’t really necessary? Tell us how you think 🙂
